Bar Coding

In 2001, Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC became the first pharmaceutical manufacturer to apply bar codes at the unit-of-use level to all of its injectable products launched that year - two years before the FDA's mandate requiring manufacturers to do so.

Bar coding is one way to verify that the right patient gets the properly prescribed dose of heparin. This pertains as well to all other products in Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC's pharmaceutical line.

Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC's bar codes are easily and readily read by linear scanning devices.
